This Dassault 312 took off for the first time in 1948. It will be in the air force for the next 21 years until 1969 when the plane landed for the last time in the town of Barcelonnette a small town in the french alps.

The plane was given by the army to the local flight club, but obviously lacked of any maintenance since then.

I previously mentioned about Carhendge, here is another "replica" of Stonehenge based on fridges. It's not technically speaking abandoned, but it's based on scraped material.

Another modern take on Stonehenge exists outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico, constructed out of junked refrigerators, known as 'Fridgehenge'. The site was created by the artist Adam Jonas Horowitz

Promyshlennyi is a small city located in Vorkuta area. I can't find any valid information on its history. It is said that the city was abandoned more than 20 years ago, possibly before the end of USSR. Any information about the city history is welcome.

Between 1939 and 1952 National Oil Proprietary Limited extracted oil from shale at their Glen Davis works in the Capertee Valley approximately 120 miles west of Sydney. The plant was built using much equipment salvaged from the closed Newnes shale oil works nearby.

Although regarded as strategic for Australia's wartime oil supply, the venture was plagued by technical, financial and political difficulties, and anticipated production was never fully realised. Viability of the shale mine and oil works were always questionable and they closed after a short and troubled life.

Located in the small community of Kaufdorf, the site containing around 500 cars mostly from the 1930s to 60s has not been touched for more than 30 years.

The now overgrown relics were originally bought for their parts by a car dealer who – not wanting to see the vehicles pressed and shredded - parked them cheek by jowl on his lot.The dealer retired in the 1970s and passed the business on to his son, who left the old cars where they were.
